Established in 1983, the St. Augustine Piecemakers Guild promotes the art of quilting through various educational programs and historical preservation efforts. Located in the nation's oldest city, we provide a structured and welcoming environment for sewers of all skill levels. Our current membership includes approximately 100 quilters who enjoy sharing techniques and traditions with one another while supporting the local craft community.
MISSION STATEMENT
The purpose of this organization shall be to create, stimulate and maintain an interest in making, collecting and preserving quilts, while providing opportunities of instruction in all aspects of construction and to provide an atmosphere of fellowship for the organization’s members.

SEW INS
The Guild tries to hold two (2) Sew-Ins a year, Spring and Fall.
These are an opportunity for members to work on quilts that will be donated to local charities.
There is usually fabric (and often kits) available for members to use to augment their own fabrics.
The guild also provides batting.
RETREATS
The Guild periodically hosts Quilting Retreats. This is an opportunity for members to “get away” for a few days to sew and to get to know one another better. These getaways are from three (3) days to a week long. To date we have ventured to Epworth in St. Simons, Georgia and Luther Springs in Hawthorne, Florida. Attendees are responsible for all expenses related to the Retreat.
